Executive purchase may signal undervaluation as quarterly record revenue and order momentum draw attention

Genoray Executive Director Ahn Jae-min purchased 1,400 common shares of the company on the open market over two days on the 25th and 26th, according to a filing made on the Financial Supervisory Service’s Electronic Disclosure System on the 28th. Ahn purchased 1,300 shares at 3,186 won per share on the 25th and 100 shares at 3,175 won per share on the 26th. Following the purchases, his holdings increased from 65,600 shares to 67,000 shares. His ownership rose 0.01 percentage points, from 0.45% to 0.46%.
Ahn was appointed an executive director of Genoray on March 29. The purchase has drawn market attention because it was his first open-market purchase since the appointment. Genoray is a KOSDAQ-listed company with 14,553,844 shares outstanding.
Purchase timing coincides with earnings rebound
The purchase is drawing attention because its timing coincides with the company’s earnings recovery cycle. Genoray posted quarterly record revenue of 34 billion won on a consolidated basis in the fourth quarter of 2025 and simultaneously returned to operating profitability. In early 2026, it successively won large government tenders worth approximately 17 billion won in Russia, Türkiye and Lebanon.
Genoray is a medical device company that manufactures surgical C-arms, or mobile X-ray fluoroscopy systems, as well as dental X-ray equipment. More than 75% of its total revenue is generated overseas. The company has overseas subsidiaries in five countries—the United States, Germany, Japan, Türkiye and China—and exports its products to approximately 80 countries.
A K-medical device company with in-house core technologies
In-house technology development is frequently cited as one of Genoray’s competitive strengths. It is considered the only company in South Korea to have developed all three core X-ray equipment technologies—the X-ray generator, detector and image-processing software—entirely in-house domestically. Its flagship mobile C-arm products currently hold more than 70% of the domestic market, while maintaining a top-five competitive position globally. The company is regarded as an example of a business that combines price competitiveness and technological capabilities in a medical device market dominated by global giants such as GE, Siemens and Philips.
The company’s future growth drivers are expected to include the full-scale expansion of overseas exports of dental 3D CT systems and mammography equipment. Genoray is also pursuing additional CE certifications to expand in the European market as demand rises with population aging. Industry experts expect structural earnings growth momentum to continue as the company diversifies its export regions and launches new products in the dental segment.
However, caution is warranted before interpreting a small open-market purchase by an executive as a definitive signal of a stock-price rebound. Ahn’s purchase was worth approximately 4.47 million won, giving it strong symbolic significance, and some observers believe the stock’s actual direction should be assessed through continued verification of order fulfillment and quarterly earnings.
