Germany-based Bayer said Kerendia has received approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for adults with type 1 diabetes-associated chronic kidney disease.
In the phase 3 FINE-ONE trial, Kerendia reduced the urinary albumin-to-creatinine ratio (UACR) by at least 25% after 6 months.
Bayer forecasts that Kerendia’s peak annual sales will reach $3 billion (approximately 4 trillion won).
