U.S.-based Cytokinetics said its cardiac myosin inhibitor Myqorzo demonstrated a significant clinical benefit for the first time in patients with nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (nHCM). In the ACACIA trial, patients treated with Myqorzo had a 3-point greater improvement than those receiving placebo in the symptom assessment measure KCCQ-CSS at week 36. Cytokinetics plans to seek approval from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) by the end of the fourth quarter to add the nHCM indication.
