The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved the combination of Tevimbra, Ziihera and chemotherapy as a first-line treatment for HER2-positive gastroesophageal cancer. In the phase 3 clinical trial, the median overall survival with the combination was 26.4 months, longer than the 19.2 months reported for the control group. BeiGene Medicines said the approval provides a new first-line treatment option for patients with HER2-positive gastroesophageal cancer in the United States.
