About 39,000 eligible veterans began receiving support for dementia testing and dementia treatment and management costs from dementia care centers on Aug. 1. Previously, they were excluded from support when using veterans hospitals, but they can now receive up to 150,000 won for diagnostic testing and 80,000 to 110,000 won for differential diagnosis testing. Duplicate support is not allowed. Applications can be submitted by visiting the dementia care center serving the applicant’s place of residence or by mail or fax.
