Researchers in China have developed TDFold, an artificial intelligence system for predicting protein structures that is 100 times faster than existing methods and uses half the GPU resources. In the CASP15 benchmark, its TM-score was 0.07 higher than that of OmegaFold. Because it can be trained on a single GPU within one week, TDFold is expected to support low-cost drug-target discovery.
