U.S.-based GRAIL said its Galleri multi-cancer early detection blood test received a positive recommendation from a U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advisory committee.
The committee voted 7-2 in favor of using the test to detect certain cancers in adults ages 50 and older.
The FDA will make a final decision on whether to grant Galleri premarket approval in the coming months.
