U.S. Sen. Todd Young identified creating a bio lead at the White House who would communicate directly with the president as a top priority. He predicted that Chinese biotech companies would account for more than two-thirds of the value of global technology transfer deals this year. Young stressed that the United States must strengthen its domestic innovation ecosystem to reduce its dependence on China for biotech.
