Germany’s Boehringer Ingelheim has expanded its collaboration with U.S.-based Variant Bio into cardiovascular disease. Variant Bio is eligible to receive an additional upfront payment and milestones totaling $250 million (about 335 billion won). The companies plan to identify genetically validated targets and develop new cardiovascular disease drugs.
