UK-based Compass Pathways said it plans to use the interventional psychiatry clinic infrastructure established by Spravato to launch COMP360 if it receives approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
There are currently approximately 8,500 interventional psychiatry clinics across the United States, and Compass has expanded its commercial organization from 20 employees at the beginning of the year to approximately 100.
Compass designed COMP360 to be administered one to four times annually to improve treatment adherence. The company plans to carefully manage its initial patients before rapidly expanding.
