U.S.-based Q BioPharma’s urticaria drug candidate CUE-221 met its primary endpoint in a phase 2 clinical trial.
At week 12, the CUE-221 treatment groups recorded complete urticaria clearance rates of 43% to 54%, substantially exceeding the 11% rate in the placebo group.
Based on these results, Q BioPharma plans to begin a phase 2b/3 clinical trial in patients with chronic idiopathic urticaria.
