A 2:1 calcium-cross-linked carboxymethyl cellulose coating produced the greatest improvement in early blood clotting in 3D-printed hydroxyapatite scaffolds. The coating lowered the 30-second blood clotting index to 13.13%, approaching the positive control’s 11.11%.
