A research team led by Professor Ssang-gu Cho of Konkuk University, in collaboration with a team led by Professor Aram Jeong of Korea University, has developed a microfluidic technology to restore the function of aged stem cells.
The researchers developed a microfluidic cell-compression reactivation platform (µ-CPR) that restores cell function using only physical stimulation, without genetic manipulation or drugs.
The device processes approximately 270 million cells per hour and is expected to be used in cell therapy manufacturing processes in the future.
