Switzerland-based Roche has entered into a partnership with biotech startup Dualitas Therapeutics to discover bispecific antibodies for immune diseases, paying $36.5 million (approximately 48.9 billion won) upfront.
Dualitas will screen more than 300,000 bispecific antibody combinations and provide Roche with new investigational drug candidates. The company is eligible to receive up to $1 billion in milestone payments, as well as future sales royalties.
Dualitas is developing its own candidate, DTX-102, as a treatment for rheumatoid arthritis and expects to enter clinical development in 2027.
