Biobook Begins Comprehensive IR Consulting for Startups

The Interagency Integrated Healthcare Association (Chairman Shim Gi-jun) has launched a support program to strengthen domestic healthcare startups’ ability to attract investment and enhance their competitiveness in overseas markets.
The Interagency Integrated Healthcare Association announced on the 4th that it will jointly implement the “Healthcare Product Multimodal AI Platform Development Project” with the Korea AI Medical Healthcare Research Institute and Changwon Industry Promotion Agency.
The program is intended for promising startups developing medical and health care products, food, cosmetics, software, platforms, solutions and related services based on artificial intelligence technologies that use at least two types of data in different formats or from different sources, including images, audio, text and biometric information.
Five companies will be selected for support. After applications are received, the companies will be selected through an evaluation process in September and will then receive IR consulting from Biobook, the project operator. Biobook, a life sciences-focused accelerator, will prepare and provide IR materials for the companies from an investor’s perspective, conduct training to support efficient fundraising, and hold a demo day with actual investors.
In particular, Biobook will upload the companies’ English-language IR materials to its online global matching platform (biobook.biz), enabling potential overseas investors and licensing partners to search for the companies in real time and propose business opportunities.
“A variety of business initiatives and ideas using AI are emerging in the healthcare sector,” said Jung Hee-kyung, secretary-general of the Interagency Integrated Healthcare Association. “Investment is urgently needed for early-stage companies to scale up, and we plan to develop a range of programs that can provide practical assistance,” she emphasized.
Companies interested in the program should submit the relevant documents to the Interagency Integrated Healthcare Association (sdm0810@kothea.or.kr) by 16:00 on September 14 (Monday).
The association also said that companies with headquarters, research institutes or factories in Changwon Special City will receive additional points, increasing their chances of selection.
