The CMES-AD researchers have announced a clinical trial plan to deliver more than 38,000 magnetic stimulations to the brains of patients with Alzheimer’s disease. The study will precisely target each participant’s precuneus, a brain region responsible for memory. The researchers will divide 70 patients with mild disease into three groups and assess the treatment’s effects on delaying cognitive and functional decline over 24 weeks.
