Otsuka’s IgA nephropathy treatment Voyxact (sibeprenlimab) stabilized patients’ kidney function at near-normal levels for 2 years. In the phase 3 trial, the annual rate of change in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) improved by 0.3, showing a clear difference from the placebo group’s 4.2 decline. Otsuka filed for full approval with the FDA and more than doubled its sales forecast for this year to ¥60 billion.
