The Nakdonggang National Institute of Biological Resources confirmed that violanin-2, a natural compound from Viola verecunda, promotes the proliferation of dermal papilla cells, which support hair growth.
At a concentration of 40㎍/mL, violanin-2 increased dermal papilla cell proliferation by 14.3% compared with the control group.
Based on these findings, the Nakdonggang National Institute of Biological Resources registered a patent for the use of violanin-2 to improve hair loss.
