Teva Pharmaceuticals said its investigational antibody drug TEV-'408 for celiac disease showed a statistically significant effect in preventing gluten-induced intestinal damage in an 8-week, placebo-controlled midstage trial. Combined with early-stage data in vitiligo, Teva assessed the drug as having the potential to become a “pipeline within a product.” Teva plans to continue analyzing the ongoing phase 2a trial and disclose additional results at future academic conferences.
