Researchers at the Hollings Cancer Center at the Medical University of South Carolina reported that combining a LOX inhibitor with leflunomide suppressed tumor growth in triple-negative breast cancer. Leflunomide blocked this alternative pathway, driving the cancer cells into ferroptosis, and the combination was effective without chemotherapy.
