The Global Harmonization Center (GHC) of the National Institute of Food and Drug Safety Evaluation has been designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as the world’s first collaborating center for capacity building and training in medical product regulatory systems. The designation follows the listing of all of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety’s functions in the pharmaceutical and vaccine sectors on WHO’s list of stringent regulatory authorities. The Global Harmonization Center will hold an international workshop in November to officially begin its collaborating center activities.
