The Global Regulatory Harmonization Center (GHC) of the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) has been designated as the world’s first World Health Organization (WHO) collaborating center for capacity building and training in medical product regulatory systems. The designation recognizes the achievement of all MFDS functions in the pharmaceutical and vaccine sectors being listed on the WHO’s list of stringent regulatory authorities. GHC will invite WHO officials to an international workshop in November this year to begin its official schedule as a collaborating center.
