Swiss drugmaker Roche will acquire Hanmi Pharmaceutical’s clinical-stage obesity drug candidate HM17321. Roche will pay $190 million upfront (approximately 262.2 billion won) and up to $2.3 billion in additional milestone payments. Roche highlighted the candidate’s potential to reduce body weight while preserving muscle mass.
