Daewoong Pharmaceutical has been notified of a decision to grant a U.S. patent related to ionizable lipids, a core technology for mRNA delivery. The patent covers the foundational technology for the lipid nanoparticle (LNP) delivery platform “eTurna,” including an ionizable lipid structure that delivers therapeutic nucleic acid materials to target cells. After completing formal registration, Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to secure ionizable lipid rights in the United States and support the out-licensing of its antiaging pipeline.
