The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety found that 30 of 43 traditional market import shops (69.7%) were selling unauthorized imported medicines during an inspection. The MFDS conducted three joint inspections with local governments since June at Seoul’s Namdaemun Market and Daegu’s Gyodong Market. The agency recovered about 1,300 violating products at the sites and referred the businesses to the Central Investigation Team for Special Judicial Police for investigation.
