Researchers at the University of Science and Technology of China developed a platform to determine anticancer drug efficacy by analyzing nanovibrations in patient-derived gastric cancer organoids. The platform combined atomic force microscopy (AFM) with deep learning to classify drug responses using just 0.1 seconds of vibration data. The researchers detected changes in the efficacy of paclitaxel at picomolar concentrations before morphological changes, confirming 97% accuracy.
