Novartis has secured access to RNA technology from China’s Abogen Biosciences in exchange for an upfront payment of $575 million (about 770 billion won).
Abogen is granting Novartis an option to license ABO2203, an mRNA-based next-generation T-cell engager targeting CD3 and CD19.
Abogen confirmed ABO2203’s tolerability in an early-stage clinical trial in patients with relapsed or refractory B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma and could receive up to an additional $7.2 billion upon achievement of milestones.
