What if Korean biotechs could meet global partners without having to search for them first?
Korean biotechs that want to meet overseas pharmaceutical companies and investors but are unsure where to start should take note. Biobook is preparing a new opportunity to connect Korean life sciences companies with global partners.
Introducing the Biobook Global Partnering Platform.
For Korean biotechs looking to enter global markets, there is something just as important as having excellent technology: meeting overseas pharmaceutical companies and investors who may be interested in it.
But finding the right partners, identifying the right contacts and arranging meetings can take more time and effort than expected.
Biobook has steadily built its global network over the past six years to address these challenges.
Today, Biobook is creating a range of overseas partnering opportunities through its network of more than 1,800 global pharmaceutical business development professionals and investors specializing in biotech and health care.
Now, it plans to open this network to Korean biotech companies so they can use it directly.
Pharmaceutical companies looking for new technologies overseas, investors seeking promising pipelines and a range of companies exploring global collaboration opportunities.
The platform aims to expand the opportunities for these groups to connect with Korean biotechs.
This platform launch is about more than simply creating a website that provides company information.
A major launch of Biobook’s platform to its global partner network is planned for December.
Biobook aims to create an environment where overseas partners can explore promising Korean biotechs, discover companies of interest and proceed to actual meetings.
Of course, global partnering does not guarantee an investment or a licensing deal. But it is meaningful because it expands opportunities to introduce companies and their technologies to suitable partners and begin substantive discussions about collaboration.
And one thing is important to make the most of those opportunities:
Preparing company information in advance, before overseas partners visit the platform.
The Biobook Global Partnering Platform is designed to help companies explore overseas partners, hold video meetings with companies of interest and share investor relations materials.
Explore global partners: Use category-based search to find a range of partners, including overseas pharmaceutical companies, investors, startups and service companies.
From meeting requests to video meetings: Request meetings with companies of interest and connect with them for video meetings through the platform.
Upload and share investor relations materials: Companies can upload their own investor relations materials to introduce their technologies and pipelines to overseas partners.
The goal is to support the global business development process from partner discovery to meetings and materials sharing, rather than simply helping companies obtain contact information.
Before the global launch in December, Biobook is currently offering early access to the platform.
Companies that sign up and upload investor relations information by the end of November will receive free access to all services during the early access period. After the services become paid, companies that participated in early access will also receive a discount.
By registering company information and preparing investor relations materials now, companies can be ready to introduce their technologies and pipelines when the platform is formally presented to global partners.
Companies pursuing overseas licensing or co-development, seeking new investors or looking to expand their global business development networks should take advantage of this opportunity.
Good technology does not always find the right partner. Collaboration becomes possible only when companies that need a technology can discover the companies that have it.
Drawing on its global network and business development experience built over the past six years, Biobook aims to help Korean life sciences companies meet more overseas partners and explore new business opportunities.
The Biobook platform will be formally unveiled to global partners in December.
Start preparing now to introduce Korean biotech technologies and pipelines to the world.
