Selected to lead the development and validation of AI cloud services for public hospital information systems; first-year budget totals KRW 18.1 billion, with government funding allocated to ezCaretech equivalent to 21.8% of its equity

ezCaretech has been selected as the lead organization for a government-funded project to develop artificial intelligence (AI) cloud services for public hospital information systems.
ezCaretech disclosed on the 29th that it had been selected to lead the 'Public Hospital Information System AI Cloud Service Development and Validation Support Project,' an initiative led by the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Information Society Agency.
The project aims to develop hospital information systems (HIS) currently used by public healthcare institutions into cloud services that meet public-sector requirements. The systems will be deployed and tested in real-world settings at two public healthcare institutions, with the goal of transitioning to and stabilizing cloud-based operations.
The total budget for the first year is KRW 18.1 billion, comprising KRW 13.5 billion in government funding and KRW 4.6 billion in private-sector contributions. Of the government funding, KRW 9.76 billion has been allocated to ezCaretech. This represents 21.8% of the company's consolidated equity of KRW 44.7 billion at the end of the previous fiscal year.
Led by ezCaretech, the project consortium includes NHN Cloud, Infomedics, PuzzleAI, HUiNNO, BIT Computer, Planit Square, and Korea IT Consulting. The first-year project period runs from the 28th of this month through April 30 of next year.
The company said it expects the project to provide a reference model for next-generation digital public hospitals and help hospitals use their budgets more efficiently through a standardized subscription model. It also cited healthcare data standardization, the establishment of a data governance framework, and AI agent-based improvements in operational efficiency as expected benefits.
The overall project is scheduled to run for two years, with continuation into the second year subject to evaluation. The budget disclosed in this filing covers only the first year. The project period and budget may change depending on government policy and discussions among the contracting parties.
