Revenue rose 112.8%, but a sharp increase in R&D spending widened the loss Debt-to-equity ratio climbed to 194.68%; report cites going-concern uncertainty

Prestige Biologics more than doubled its revenue in fiscal 2026 (July 2025-June 2026), but its net loss widened.
According to the business report filed with the Financial Supervisory Service’s Data Analysis, Retrieval and Transfer System (DART) on the 18th, Prestige Biologics’ separate-basis revenue for its 12th fiscal year was 26.66514 billion won, up 112.8% from 12.53327 billion won in the previous year.
By contrast, net loss for the same period rose 86.5% to 51.22 billion won from 27.46949 billion won in the previous year. Operating loss also widened to 49.302 billion won from 33.68164 billion won.
The company cited a sharp increase in R&D spending as the reason losses grew despite revenue growth. R&D expenses in the 12th fiscal year totaled 20.22015 billion won, about 7.8 times the 2.58836 billion won recorded in the previous year.
By revenue category, sales of active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished drug products manufactured under contract (CMO) rose 38.4% to 14.46605 billion won, while other revenue, including process development and technology transfer, surged 487.1% to 12.1991 billion won.
The company’s financial position deteriorated. At the end of the 12th fiscal year, total liabilities were 176.10135 billion won, up 30.4% from 135.08296 billion won at the end of the previous year, while total equity fell 33.1% to 90.45548 billion won. The debt-to-equity ratio rose to 194.68% from 99.91%.
The business report stated, “The company incurred operating and net losses, and current liabilities exceed current assets by 107.59744 billion won,” adding that “there is uncertainty about its ability to continue as a going concern.”
The company outlined plans to improve its financial position through operating activities and financing. However, it added that its ability to continue as a going concern depends on improving operating cash flow and securing additional financing.
Prestige Biologics is a biopharmaceutical contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) with production capacity of 154,000 liters at its facility in Osong, Cheongju, North Chungcheong Province. It signed 57 new contracts in its 12th fiscal year, up from 41 in the previous year.
