Eli Lilly has discontinued development of the gene therapy LY3884961 for Gaucher disease, which it acquired for $1 billion (approximately 1.422 trillion won). Following its acquisition of Prevail in 2020, this is the second program Lilly has abandoned, after a treatment for frontotemporal dementia. Lilly previously recorded a $206.5 million loss (approximately 293.6 billion won) because of delays in launching the candidate.
