The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety revised its procedures for new drug marketing authorization and review to support expedited launches within the 240-day target. The revision follows measures announced in May and allows certain procedures to be omitted when converting an orphan drug to a new drug, while clarifying the notification process for in-person meetings before approval. The changes are expected to improve transparency and predictability in future new drug approvals.
