Biogen’s Alzheimer’s disease treatment Leqembi generated global sales of $184 million (approximately 276 billion won) in the second quarter, up 15% from the same period a year earlier. The sales growth was announced shortly after the FDA allowed at-home administration of the subcutaneous formulation, raising expectations that the new launch will build on a solid foundation. Biogen forecast that full-year sales would increase by a mid-single-digit percentage, but lowered its earnings-per-share (EPS) guidance to $12-$13 from its previous forecast.
