Pays Arrowhead $25 million upfront Aims to develop combination therapy with existing treatment Rezdiffra

Madrigal has licensed a MASH drug candidate from Arrowhead for a total of $1 billion (approximately 1.45 trillion won). The RNAi therapy reduced liver fat by 46% after a single dose in patients with a specific genetic variant in a phase 1 trial. Madrigal plans to seek synergy with its existing treatment, Rezdiffra, targeting these patients, who account for 30% of those with MASH.
