Met all primary endpoints in the phase 3 ACACIA-HCM trial An indication in which rival BMS failed; expected to become the first treatment

Cytokinetics’ cardiac disease treatment Myqorzo (aficamten) met all primary endpoints at week 36 in a phase 3 trial for nonobstructive hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (nHCM), achieving statistical significance. The trial used patient-reported outcomes measured by the KCCQ and improvement in peak exercise capacity as its primary endpoints, while BMS’ competing drug Camzyos failed in a trial for the same indication. With this success, Cytokinetics aims to secure approval for the first treatment for nHCM, double the patient population and promptly begin approval discussions with the FDA.
