Telehealth Prescription Medications to Be Available Immediately Instead of After 7 Hours Through Pharmacy Information Disclosure

Starting May 6, the Ministry of Health and Welfare will provide platforms with information on medications that have had telehealth prescription records within the past year. The information will be disclosed through an open API, showing whether each pharmacy can purchase and dispense specific medications and directing patients to pharmacies more likely to have them in stock. The measure is intended to resolve delays in medication pickup that previously took 7 hours and improve patients’ access to treatment.
